Sikkim Governor Shri Om Prakash Mathur Honored in Udaipur

Udaipur: Sikkim Governor Shri Om Prakash Mathur was grandly honored in Udaipur during a public felicitation ceremony organized by the Sarv Samaj Sirmour Samman Samaroh Samiti at the Sukhadia Rangmanch on Sunday evening.

Governor Mathur stated that the role of the Governor is to act as a bridge between the central and state governments. He emphasized his commitment to ensuring citizens' lives are prosperous and to the overall development of the region and its people in his new role.

During his address, Mathur noted that he began his career as a worker and continues to see himself in that role. He remarked that the honor bestowed upon him is a reflection of the sentiments of his friends and colleagues, and he vowed to continue working in accordance with those expectations.

The event commenced with a welcome address by the committee's president, former MLA Dharmanaryan Joshi, who highlighted Governor Mathur's exemplary personality and his contributions to public life.

The ceremony began with the lighting of lamps and the chanting of auspicious mantras by Acharyas, led by Pundit Alkesh Pandya. The event featured remarks from Cabinet Minister Babulal Kharadi, Revenue Minister Hemant Meena, Cooperation Minister Gautam Dake, Forest and Environment Minister Sanjay Sharma, Lok Sabha MP Dr. Mannalal Rawat, Rajya Sabha MP Chunnilal Garasiya, and Nimbahera MLA Shrichand Kriplani. Udaipur Mayor Govind Singh Tank extended a warm welcome to Mathur on behalf of the residents of Udaipur. The ceremony was presided over by Udaipur MLA Tarachand Jain.

During the ceremony, Haryana Government Information Commissioner Pradeep Singh Shekhawat shared reminiscences of Governor Mathur, discussing his journey from being a worker to becoming a distinguished dignitary. The congratulatory letter presented to Mathur was read by Bhanwarlal Sharma. The event was coordinated by Rajkumar Fattawat, and the vote of thanks was delivered by Welcome Minister Mohabbat Singh Roopakhedi.

A large number of distinguished guests, including District Head Mamta Kunwar, MLA Gopal Lal Sharma, former Minister Kaloolal Gurjar, Dhansingh Rawat, former MLA Dr. B.R. Chaudhary, Ashok Navlakha, Anita Katara, and Badri Lal Jat, were present at the ceremony.
