Dr. Deepak Kumar Shrivastava, Nodal Officer for Public Libraries (Kota Region) and Divisional Librarian and Head of the Government Divisional Public Library Kota, has been awarded the prestigious *Manju Mishra Smriti Global Public Librarian Excellence Award (M2SGPLEA)-2024*. Presented by the Manju Mishra Smriti Sansthan (M2S2), Kota, this award recognizes his outstanding contributions to public librarianship in India.
Dr. Shrivastava, acclaimed as a Next Generation Librarian of India, has also been nominated to the Bureau of Indian Standards for the revision of public library standards in India, reflecting his significant impact on the modernization and development of library services nationwide.
The award was presented during the 78th Republic Day celebrations held at the Dr. S.R. Ranganathan Conventional Hall, Government Divisional Public Library, Kota. M2S2 Chairperson Kamalakant Sharma conferred the honor, with Chief Guest Dr. Prabhat Singhal, Former Joint Director of DIPR, and President Raju Gupta, Former CEO of Fetherlite Group, Bangalore, in attendance. Special guest Rajendra Kumar Jain, Former Assistant Registrar of Rajasthan Technical University (RTU) Kota, also attended the event.
Dr. Shrivastava’s achievements continue to set global standards in public library services, promoting knowledge resources on an international scale.
