Over 250 Experts from Across the Country Participate in the Two-Day Conference

Conference of Pediatric Specialists ‘Lakecity Pedicriticon 2024’ Concludes Successfully

Udaipur  – The Department of Pediatrics at Pacific Medical College and Hospital (PMCH), in collaboration with the IAP Intensive Care Chapter India and the Indian Academy of Pediatrics Udaipur, successfully hosted the Pediatric Critical Care Conference 'Lakecity Pedicriticon 2024'. The event was inaugurated by PMCH Chairman Rahul Agarwal, Preeti Agarwal, Executive Director Aman Agarwal, CEO Sharad Kothari, PMCH Principal and Dean Dr. M.M. Mangal, IAP Udaipur EB Member Dr. Devendra Sareen, Conference Chairman Dr. Sudhir Mawadia, and Secretary Dr. Puneet Jain, with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp in front of the statue of Goddess Saraswati.

Organizing Secretary Dr. Puneet Jain shared that during this conference, various technical sessions were held to discuss the latest advancements in pediatric critical care. Dr. Atul Jindal from AIIMS Raipur discussed asthma in children, Dr. Lokesh Tiwari from AIIMS Rishikesh addressed severe lung issues in children, and Dr. Arun Bansal from PGIMER Chandigarh shared new techniques for treating severe brain disorders in children. Dr. Manish Sharma, former Registrar of Rajasthan Medical Council, contributed valuable insights on organ donation. Dr. Shalu Gupta from LHMC Delhi shared her experiences regarding kidney diseases in children, and Dr. Daisy Kheda from AIIMS Jodhpur discussed her views on seizure disorders in children.

Co-Secretaries Dr. Sunny Malviya and Dr. Palak Jain mentioned that pediatric specialists from various prestigious institutions across India, including Rajasthan, participated in panel discussions on common pediatric toxicology, with contributions from Dr. Anup Paliwal, Dr. Anuradha Sanadhya, Dr. Subhash Bamanawat, Dr. Harit Bhandari, Dr. Atul Heda, and Dr. Puneet Jain. Additionally, pediatric postgraduates from various medical colleges in Rajasthan presented papers and posters, and a postgraduate quiz was held.

The primary aim of this workshop was to acquaint pediatric specialists working in rural and urban areas with the latest techniques in pediatric critical care.
