### Delegation Congratulates Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla

**New Delhi**: During their visit to New Delhi, a delegation from the Indian Language Literature Association and Veena Music Group extended heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to the newly elected Lok Sabha Speaker, Om Birla, and newly elected Parliament members from Rajasthan.
Leading the delegation, Hemjeet Maloo, President of Veena Music Group, along with Kumesh Kumar Jain, President of the Indian Language Literature Association, and advisor Gopendra Nath Bhatt, congratulated Om Birla on his historic re-election as Lok Sabha Speaker. They expressed that it is a moment of immense pride for Rajasthan.
Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla praised the tireless efforts of Kesari Chand Maloo, the founder president of Veena Music Group, for preserving and promoting Rajasthan's rich cultural heritage, art, and literature. Birla reviewed the monthly cultural magazine "Swar Sarita," published by Veena Group, and acknowledged K.C. Maloo’s significant contribution in making Rajasthani music and songs recognized globally through Veena Cassettes. He also highlighted Veena Group’s remarkable work in providing employment to hundreds of folk artists, singers, instrumentalists, and traditional Rajasthani dancers. Birla described Maloo’s research-based book on wedding songs and traditional customs, published in three languages, as a timeless creation.
Hemjeet Maloo informed Birla that in the current digital era, all songs and music from Veena Cassettes are available on various social media platforms, ensuring Rajasthani music reaches every corner of the world.
During their stay in Delhi, the delegation also extended congratulations and best wishes to several other key figures, including:

- Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari
- Union Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Kiren Rijiju
- Union Minister for Tourism and Culture Gajendra Singh Shekhawat

Additionally, the delegation met with MPs from Rajasthan including C.P. Joshi, P.P. Chaudhary, Rao Rajendra Singh, Dushyant Singh, Mannalal Rawat, Lumbaram Chaudhary, Damodar Agrawal, Rahul Kaswan, Harish Chandra Meena, Bhajan Lal Jatav, Murari Lal Meena, Amra Ram, Kuldeep Indora, Hanuman Beniwal, and Rajya Sabha MP Rajendra Gehlot. They presented them with the wedding invitation of Rashmi, granddaughter of K.C. Maloo and daughter of Hemjeet Maloo.
Earlier on Tuesday, the delegation also paid a courtesy visit to Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar at the new Vice President’s Enclave. They also participated in the Africa Day 2024 event at Hotel Taj, meeting with ambassadors from 50 African countries and Gaurav Gupta, President of the Rajasthan Academy.
