###Udaipur Celebrates 10th International Yoga Day with Enthusiasm

Udaipur,  The 10th International Yoga Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm across Udaipur. A district-level program was held at Gandhi Ground under the patronage of the Revenue Minister of Rajasthan and Udaipur District In-charge, Shri Hemant Meena, along with other dignitaries including Lok Sabha MP Dr. Mannalal Rawat, Udaipur City MLA Tarachand Jain, Udaipur Rural MLA Phoolsingh Meena, District Collector Arvind Poswal, and District Superintendent of Police Yogesh Goyal.

The event began with the lighting of the lamp by the chief guest and other dignitaries. Additional Director of Ayurveda, Deendayal Sharma, and Deputy Director Dr. Rajiv Bhatt welcomed the guests. Assistant Nodal Officer and Coordinator Vaidya Shobhalal Audichya provided an overview of the yoga protocol and the session's structure. The yoga session, which started promptly at 7 AM, included relaxation exercises, standing and sitting postures, led by Dr. Shubha Surana from Sun College, who explained the physical and mental benefits of each exercise.

During the event, those who contributed to the success of the program were honored with certificates of appreciation.

Prominent attendees included Additional District Collector Administration Deependra Singh, CEO of District Council Mrs. Kirti Rathore, Principal of Ayurveda College Prof. Mahesh Dixit, Dr. Vishnu Mittal, Chief Medical and Health Officer Dr. Shankar Bamnia, Deputy Director of Women and Child Development Sanjay Joshi, Assistant Director of Ayurveda Bhupendra Sharma, Bhanu Kumar Jain, District Planning Officer Puneet Sharma, as well as officials from the education department, police department, municipal corporation, UDA, Scout-Guide, National Service Scheme, and various government departments, along with a large number of citizens.

**Women Yoga Instructors Lead the Way**

This year, Udaipur set a unique example of women empowerment by having female yoga instructors lead the district-level yoga session. Three stages were set up for the yoga practice, each led by female instructors. Dr. Shubha Surana from Sun College directed the proceedings, while yoga instructors Poonam Mali, Komal Mali, Shalini Devpura, Prem Jain, Sharda Jalora, Shweta Sharma, Dr. Tripti Joshi, Nirmala Paliwal, Pratibha Mishra, Sarla Joshi, Pooja Sharma, Usha Sharma, Darbasingh Baghel, Pooransingh Rathore, Bhanu Bapna, Rimjhim Sharma, Dr. Sapna Nagori, Manju Sharma, Bhavna Mogra, Mohan Sen, Rachit Soni, and Hemlata Sial led the yoga sessions under the guidance of chief yoga teachers Vaidya Sanjay Maheshwari and Ashok Jain. Yoga enthusiasts Pranav Maheshwari, Jaigovind Bhatt, and Gaurav Bhatt also contributed to the session.

**Yoga: The Key to Healthy Living, Says Minister**

In his address, Rajasthan Revenue Minister and Udaipur District In-charge Shri Hemant Meena emphasized that yoga is a fundamental element of Indian culture and a key to healthy living. He highlighted that the United Nations declared June 21 as International Yoga Day in 2015 due to the efforts of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The minister encouraged incorporating yoga into daily life for physical and mental well-being, contributing to individual and national development.

**Dedicated Yoga Intersection to be Developed in Udaipur**

During the event, yoga enthusiasts and Coordinator Dr. Audichya requested the development of a dedicated yoga intersection in Udaipur. MP Dr. Mannalal Rawat agreed, announcing the establishment of a yoga-dedicated intersection, which will inspire the public and inform tourists about this invaluable gift from India to the world.

**Advanced Yoga Performance Steals the Show**

Post the protocol exercises, the advanced yoga demonstration led by Police Department Yoga Trainer Rajusingh captivated the audience. Performers Manya Sharma, Jayani Bapna, Priyanshi Kukreja, Chetna Kumawat, Manah Mishra, Kusum Kir, Vidhi Kalal, Jheel Mewara, Dhara Jain, Meenakshi Nagar, and Naman Sharma showcased complex yoga poses with ease, earning praise from dignitaries and the public alike.

**Contributors to the Event**

The event also saw contributions from various governmental and private colleges, Patanjali Yoga Committee, Aishwarya College, Wonder Cement, Sonolab, Earth Diagnostic, and Jyoti Stores, among others.
