Kota: Aryan Shukla, known as the Human Calculator and a Guinness World Record holder, emphasized that mastery in any subject can be achieved through practice and focus.
On Monday, Aryan amazed everyone at Motion Education's Drona-2 campus with his accurate and fast calculations of large numbers. He even predicted the day of the week for specific dates based on his calculations. Aryan shared that he started learning the abacus at the age of six, which sparked his interest in numbers and mental math calculations. He uses techniques from the abacus, Vedic math, and learned tricks to enhance his speed and accuracy in math. Aryan described his progress as gradual, developed through continuous practice. Representing India in various international competitions and events inspires him to improve further.
Present at the event were Dr. Swati Vijay, Director of Motion Education, Deputy Director Nikhil Srivastava, Vice President DJ Sir, and Foundation Division Head Mukesh Gaur. They highlighted that Aryan's journey is an inspiration for ambitious children worldwide, demonstrating that passion, dedication, and determination can make the impossible possible. Aryan's father, Nitin Shukla, shared that their household does not have a TV, and mobile use is balanced. He expressed pride in Aryan's achievements, both as a parent and as an Indian, especially when Aryan represents the country and performs exceptionally well, enhancing the nation's pride.
Aryan Shukla, from Nashik, is currently in the ninth grade. On February 29 of this year, Aryan set a Guinness World Record in mental math calculation in just 25.19 seconds on the Italian TV show 'Lo Show dei Record' in Milan, Italy. Previously, in 2022, Aryan won the title of World Cup Champion in mental math calculation in Paderborn, Germany, representing India among the top 40 human calculators from 20 countries. In 2018, at just eight years old, Aryan represented India at the 'Memorial Turkey Open Championship' in Istanbul, Turkey, winning 10 medals, including 7 gold, 1 silver, and 2 bronze. Aryan is also a founding board member of the Global Mental Calculator Association, a prestigious international body dedicated to promoting and advancing mental calculation skills worldwide, a position he assumed at the age of 13.
