####Crimes Against Women Surge Under Bhajan Lal's Regime:

*Kota* – In a fierce critique of Rajasthan's Chief Minister Bhajan Lal, Rajasthan Women's Congress President Rakhi Gautam leveled several accusations, questioning the government's accomplishments over the past five months. She asserted that the only significant increase has been in crimes against women. Gautam reminded that during the assembly elections, the BJP government had campaigned extensively on the agenda of women's safety, plastering posters and promising to protect women under the "Nahi Sahega Rajasthan" campaign. However, she claimed these were mere election promises, and the government's true intentions have now been revealed, as crimes against women have surged.

Speaking at a press conference on Saturday, Gautam specifically called out the government over the recent incident of rape in Boodhadeet, stating that the administration has utterly failed and that daughters are not safe even in their neighborhoods.

**Law and Order in Shambles, Criminals Roam Fearlessly**

Criticizing the BJP government's first five months in office, Gautam highlighted that incidents of atrocities, rapes, and assaults against women have skyrocketed, with the count surpassing 12,000. She noted that every day, 12 to 15 minor girls fall victim to heinous acts of brutality.

**Daily Instances of Violence Against Women**

Gautam pointed out that since the BJP came into power in Rajasthan, crime has been rampant. Innocents are being targeted while criminals are sheltered. She cited two major incidents in Jaipur alone: one in Malviya Nagar, where an intoxicated man made lewd comments, assaulted a woman, and then ran her over with a car, and another in Chitrakoot, where bike-riding miscreants snatched a gold chain from an elderly woman. She also mentioned a brutal case in Jodhpur where criminals killed a mother, daughter, and niece, and a rape case involving a minor girl in Alwar.

**Rajasthan Tops in Crimes Against Women**

On this occasion, Women's Congress State Vice President Nikita Hada remarked that crimes against women in Rajasthan have been steadily increasing, making the state number one in such offenses. She highlighted the alarming statistic of over 12,000 rape cases. Hada recounted several harrowing incidents, including the rape and subsequent murder of a 10-year-old mute girl, where the perpetrators tried to destroy evidence by burning her body. She also mentioned the murder of a 40-year-old woman in Jaipur, whose face was crushed and body left naked by the roadside, the harassment of a female bus conductor in Jaipur when she tried to prevent youths from standing at the bus door, and the abduction and rape of a minor girl in Banswara, who later succumbed to her injuries after being abandoned by the perpetrators.

The press conference underscored the grave situation of women’s safety in Rajasthan under the current BJP regime, highlighting a series of violent incidents and systemic failures in law enforcement and public safety.
