**Udaipur:** As part of the various religious and cultural events ongoing for Mahesh Navami Mahotsav 2024, organized by the Nagar Maheshwari Yuva Sangathan Udaipur, a grand bhajan evening was held on Wednesday night in front of the beautifully decorated darbar of Khatu Shyam Baba at Maheshwari Sadan, Teej Ka Chowk. The darbar was adorned with flowers from Kolkata and Delhi. The divine aura of the beautifully decorated darbar, with Khatu Baba seated on the moon, moved the devotees to tears. Sangathan volunteers, along with members of the JSS group, devotedly served Khatu Baba throughout the evening.
**Curtain Lifted with Mahesh Ghosh**
The bhajan evening commenced with Mahesh Ghosh by 16 young members of the organization. As the sounds of aansas, bansi, and bugle filled the air and the curtain lifted, the sight of Khatu Shyam seated on the moon was breathtaking.
**Devotees Embarked on a Spiritual Journey Through Bhajans**
In Khatu Baba’s darbar, Udaipur’s bhajan singer Prateek Maheshwari began with Ganesh Vandana followed by a Khatu Shyam bhajan, "Hara Hoon Baba Par Tujh Par Bharosa Hai," and "Damru Wala Bholenath." Udaipur’s bhajan singer Sunanda Chaubisa enthralled the devotees with her performance, singing "Mera Bhola Hai Bhandari" and "Samne Aaoge Ya Aaj Bhi Parda Hoga," making the pandal resonate with chants of "Jai Khatu Baba."
Accompanied by Ayodhya’s Param Yaduvanshi, who sang "Saathi Hamara Kaun Banega" and "O Baba Itni Kripa Mai Paata Rahun, Khatu Bulata Rahe Aur Mai Aata Rahun," the entire atmosphere became spiritually charged. The bhajan evening, which continued till late at night, saw men, women, and youth of the community dancing and chanting Khatu Baba’s name. The event was anchored by Vikas Chachani.
**Fragrance of Flowers and Perfume Enhanced the Darbar, Chappan Bhog Offered**
Throughout the bhajan evening, the darbar was filled with the fragrance of continuous showers of perfume and flowers. A grand aarti of Khatu Baba was performed, and 56 types of offerings (chappan bhog) were presented. Hosts Rekha Asawa and Ramesh Asawa, along with President Ashish Ajmera, Vice-President Gajendra Mundra, Secretary Deepak Chachani, and other office bearers of the organization, were present during the event.
**Laughter Night Today**
Organization Secretary Prabhat Ajmera and Saurabh Kachoria announced that a laughter night would be held on Thursday at the Sukhadia Rangmanch Auditorium. The event will feature comedians Sunil Vyas, Deepak Parikh, Munna Betri, and Parth Naveen, who will entertain everyone with their humor. Chief guests for the laughter night include Dilip Mundra, Ladu Lal Mundra, and Ramprasad Bangad. Abhishek Chachani informed that a cultural evening would be organized on June 14 at the Sukhadia Rangmanch Auditorium, where children, youth, and elders of the community will showcase their talents.
