Maharana Pratap's Struggle Was for Culture and Identity, Not Empire Expansion

**Inauguration of Maharana Pratap Jayanti Celebration at Pratap Gaurav Kendra**

Udaipur,  Dr. Krishna Gopal, Joint General Secretary of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), emphasized that Maharana Pratap's struggle was not for expanding his empire but for protecting culture and identity. He stood courageously against oppressive forces with barbaric ideologies, setting an example of dedication to the motherland that is still celebrated across India.

Speaking at the inauguration of the Maharana Pratap Jayanti celebration at Pratap Gaurav Kendra, Dr. Gopal highlighted that India faced numerous brutal invaders from outside, and Maharana Pratap was one of the few who bravely confronted them. His army's valor was such that they chose to fight till the last breath rather than surrender.

Discussing the practice of Jauhar, he urged introspection on the reasons behind it, pointing to the disunity within society that allowed invaders to prevail. Dr. Gopal cited Dr. Ambedkar's examples where lack of cooperation among kings led to foreign rule. He stressed the need to learn from history and maintain unity to resist forces that seek to weaken the nation.
