Retired Technician Transforms Jungle Park into Beautiful Green Belt Garden

Kota, The inspiring initiative of current legislator Shanti Dhariwal to establish parks on degraded lands near Kota North Sewerage has started to yield results. Retired technician Murari Lal Meena, approximately eighty years old, has significantly impacted by transforming a jungle park into a stunning green belt garden through his dedication and hard work.

Meena, retired from the railways workshop in Kota in 2006, has three sons and two daughters. One of his daughters resides abroad. It has been eighteen years since his retirement, during which he has dedicated himself to public service, particularly in the realm of environmental conservation.

Meena frequents the park adjacent to the railway station director's post, which was set up to avoid the rain and for sitting, at his own expense. Situated near Indira Colony on Bhimandi area's Green Belt Mall Road, this park attracts morning walkers and fitness enthusiasts daily. Meena's regular, selfless service has resulted in the planting of numerous medicinal plants, various flowers, and fruit-bearing trees like guava, lemon, and orange. These additions have significantly enhanced the park's beauty.

In addition to his altruistic efforts, Meena also allocates a portion of his pension towards the maintenance of the park and his medication. He personally engages in digging and clearing the wild grass to maintain the park's cleanliness and aesthetics. His dedication serves as a lesson for everyone to at least refrain from littering and polluting the parks they visit for leisure and fitness purposes.

(Meena can be contacted at 9413302253 for those interested in contributing to his noble cause.)

This is the story of a remarkable individual who, through his tireless efforts, has turned neglected land into a green oasis for the benefit of the community.
