Udapur, The district administration is vigilant about the timely presence of officers and staff in government offices in line with the state government's intentions to provide timely relief to the public. District Collector Arvind Poswal conducted a surprise inspection of the Panchayat Committee's records on Thursday, accompanied by Additional District Collector Administration Shailesh Surana.
District Collector Poswal arrived at the Panchayat Committee office around 10 AM on Thursday. During the inspection, he reviewed the attendance register, where applications for leave were recorded, but discrepancies were found as the register did not match the entries. Expressing displeasure, the Collector ordered a thorough examination of the records and instructed to reconcile and take necessary action. Additional Development Officer Devendra Kumar Bansal and Junior Assistant Yashwant Kumar were found absent during the inspection, and notices were issued to them for further action.
Proposal Sent for Land Allotment for Waste Disposal Center
The District Collector also inspected the Panchayat Committee's Housing and Swachh Bharat Mission section. He gathered information about the online process of schemes and directed to quickly resolve pending dependents' cases for the public's benefit. He also instructed for the speedy identification and approval of land for the construction of waste disposal centers in every gram panchayat under the Swachh Bharat Mission.
Work Approval Based on Gram, Not Panchayat
District Collector Poswal reviewed the Mahatma Gandhi Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MGNREGS) cell. He urged to initiate work based on approved and complete projects, assigned labor, created Human Day, and pending proposals. He emphasized that at least 50 registrations should be in each panchayat and suggested approving work based on the gram (village) to benefit more people. He stressed the need to prepare proposals, complete the work on time, and make efforts to ensure maximum workdays for laborers. Online registration for social pension was also directed to be completed promptly.
Delay in Issuing Approval for MP-MLA Works
Expressing dissatisfaction with the delay in issuing approvals for the works of Members of Parliament (MP) and Members of Legislative Assembly (MLA), District Collector Poswal stated that the public suffers when approvals are not issued on time. He recommended issuing approvals within a week.
CEO Inspects School Education Office, 11 Officials Absent
On another note, as per the directions of the District Collector, Chief Executive Officer Anjum Tahir Sama, Administrative Engineer Sudhir Tiwari, and Additional Development Officer Rajendra Sharma conducted a surprise inspection of the School Education Udaipur Division office. During the inspection, Deputy Director Praveenkumar Meena, Administrative Officer Vinodkumar Paneri, Sujat Ali, and Pannalal Lakhara, Assistant Administrative Officer and Senior Assistant Harshvardhansingh Bhati, Chandrashekhar Shrimalli, Junior Assistant Deepak Dave, Hitendra Dangi, and Contractual Assistant Rajendrakumar Nayi were found absent.
The team also visited Deputy Director Pushpendra Sharma, Additional District Education Officer Narendra Kumar Tank, Assistant Director Mrs. Indira Sisodia, Sushil Kumar Gupta, and Assistant Administrative Officer Hemant Soni, who were also absent during the visit.
