In a recent literary event organized by the Kota chapter of the All India Sahitya Parishad, Dr. Arpana Pandey, a renowned Hindi author, was honored for her outstanding contributions to promoting Hindi language and culture in Bangladesh. The event, attended by literary critics, distinguished guests, and fellow writers, celebrated Dr. Pandey's book "Videsh Pravas Aur Hindi Seva" ("Foreign Journey and Service to Hindi").

The event commenced with a welcome address by the convener, Dr. S. R. Ranganathan, Director of the Public Library, Kota. The chief guest, Professor Kailash Sodani, Vice-Chancellor of Mahaveer Khula Vishwavidyalaya, Kota, praised Dr. Pandey's efforts in fostering cultural ties between India and Bangladesh. He highlighted her role as a cultural ambassador and her significant work in building a bridge between two civilizations.

The book, "Videsh Pravas Aur Hindi Seva," was unveiled during the ceremony, and Dr. Atul Chaturvedi, the main speaker, provided insights into the literary significance of Dr. Arpana Pandey's work. The book chronicles her experiences during her tenure as a cultural attaché in Bangladesh, emphasizing the cultural nuances and language challenges faced in a foreign land.

Speaking at the event, Dr. Atul Chaturvedi commended Dr. Pandey for her dedication to promoting Hindi language education in Bangladesh. He acknowledged her role in creating awareness about Indian culture and values in a foreign setting. The book, according to him, is not just a memoir but a valuable account that captures the essence of her journey.

The event saw the presence of dignitaries like Jitendra Nirmohi, Ramnarayan Haladhar, Dr. Deepak Srivastava, and others, who lauded Dr. Pandey's literary prowess. The unique blend of diary entries and travel narratives in her book was appreciated for filling a void in the literary landscape of the Hadoti region.

Jitendra Nirmohi, a prominent literary figure in Hindi and Rajasthani languages, expressed that such memoirs play a crucial role in preserving the tradition of reminiscences. He commended Dr. Pandey's love for the Hindi language and her efforts to propagate it in Bangladesh.

Yogi Raj Yogi, the coordinator of the All India Sahitya Parishad and senior literary figure, highlighted the global significance of Hindi language education. He praised Dr. Pandey's commitment to her duty and the positive impact of her teaching on students, some of whom are now serving in All India Radio.

In his address, Yogi Raj Yogi emphasized the importance of vernacular languages in society and urged a reevaluation of the dominance of foreign languages, especially in official capacities. He acknowledged Dr. Pandey's project in Bangladesh, where she successfully trained hundreds of students in Hindi.

Dr. Arpana Pandey, in her gratitude-filled speech, expressed her learning experiences during her tenure in Bangladesh. She thanked the literary community for their guidance and support, highlighting the role played by veteran literary critic Jitendra Nirmohi in shaping her articles and memoirs.

The event concluded with the felicitation of the guests, including literary figures like Bhagwati Prasad Gautam, Nand Kishor Anmol, Bhagwati Prasad Manyak, Ramgopal Gautam, Ved Prakash Prakash, Jodharaj Madhukar, Hem Singh Hem, Nahush Vyas, Raghunandan Hatila, Ram Mohan Kaushik, Mahendra Pratap Chaudhary, and others. The presence of female poets like Shyama Sharma, Anuradha Sharma, Dr. Krishna Kamsin, Seema Ghosh, Veena Agrawal, Rekha Pancholi, Dr. Indu Bala Sharma, and Snehalata Sharma added a touch of diversity to the literary gathering.
