The "Geetopanishad Reader Dialogue Program" was organized by the Government Divisional Public Library in Kota on the occasion of Geeta Jayanti. Shri Krishna Kumar Gautam, Assistant Administrative Officer of the District Council Kota, chaired the program, with Sanjay Kumar Paliwal, Assistant Account Officer - First , District Council Kota, and Dr. Nisha Gupta, Lecturer (Hindi) at Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Alot (M.P.), and Social thinker Shri Narendra Sharma among the distinguished guests. The event was managed by Senior K.B. Dixit.
Dr. Deepak Kumar Shrivastav, Divisional Librarian and Head Government Divisional Public library Kota, speaking on this occasion, highlighted that the Geeta is the singular scripture celebrated every year, also known as Shrimadbhagavad Geeta and Geetopanishad. Following the teachings of the Geeta resolves all difficulties and doubts.
Chairperson Krishna Kumar Gautam mentioned, "It's believed that Geeta Jayanti marks the day when Lord Krishna imparted the knowledge of the Geeta to Arjuna, which was on the eleventh day of the bright fortnight of the month of Margashirsha, also called Mokshada Ekadashi."
Chief Guest Sanjay Paliwal emphasized, "Following the teachings of Lord Krishna in the Geeta helps one make right decisions even in the toughest situations. The Geeta's teachings encompass the art of living, management, and action. Hence, reading the Geeta on this day is essential."
Dr. Nisha Gupta expressed, "In Sanatan Dharma, Geeta Jayanti holds immense significance, as every verse written in the Geeta is considered beneficial for human welfare. Through the teachings of the Geeta, Lord Krishna distinguishes between right and wrong, good and bad."
Special Guest Ashish Jain added, "Fasting is also customary on this day. Fasting on Geeta Jayanti purifies the mind, keeps the body healthy, and frees one from all sins."
Guest Narendra Sharma said, "On this day, Lord Krishna enlightened Arjuna about righteousness and duties during the Mahabharata war, which is known as the teachings of the Geeta. It emphasizes living life, following righteousness, and understanding the importance of actions."
The program included expressions of gratitude from Dr. Deepak Kumar and thoughts shared by several individuals. Additionally, there was a book exhibition held on this occasion.
