One of her poems goes like this:

*"My beloved, my life partner,
You are my life, my heartbeat,
You are the sailor of my life's boat.
I remain forever happy,
You believe in making it so,
Though at times, over certain matters,
You get upset with me.
Your eyes moisten with my tears,
Whenever I feel defeated, you become my courage.
Where I feel afraid, you become my support,
When the thorns prick my feet, you become my soothing balm.
I'm incomplete without you, like a lamp without light,
I say with pride, my dear, you are my life partner,
You are the sailor of my life's boat."*

Dr. Shashi Jain also dabbles in metrical compositions. Here are a couple of her creations:

1. In this ever-flowing current of time,
How can we keep track of a few years?
Life here has given so much,
So why keep an account of what's lost?

2. Observing guests, respect and honor change,
When the offering is less, blessings and boons differ!
When desires of the heart are not fulfilled in time,
Devotion to devotees, temples, and deities also change!

Her poetry collection is currently in the process of publication. Dr. Shashi Jain has edited two books and is currently working on editing a shared anthology of poems.
