Pacific Provides Career Counseling to Thousands of District Students

Pacific University provided career counseling to all senior secondary students in Udaipur district through YouTube channels. The program was broadcasted on projectors and smart boards in schools. Professor Raj Nehru, Vice-Chancellor of Vishwakarma Skill University, Gurugram, was the chief speaker of the program. He emphasized the need for developing essential life skills before embarking on a successful career. Students should focus on cultivating creativity, problem-solving skills, and analytical thinking while maintaining discipline.

He also stressed the importance of students choosing their subjects and various optional subjects based on their skills and interests rather than conforming to parental expectations. Professor Nehru advised students to develop micro-skills that would enable them to excel in emerging careers such as data engineering, data analytics, artificial intelligence, and creative writing. He likened students to unique flowers, each with their own distinct talents and interests.

Pacific Group's Patron, Professor B.P. Sharma, welcomed the students and explained the importance of a career. He highlighted that the increasing competition and pressure often lead to students not meeting their parents' expectations, which can, in some cases, result in tragic actions like suicide. He emphasized the importance of proper counseling to help students develop a positive mindset. In this direction, Pacific University, in collaboration with the Department of Education in Udaipur, has initiated this career counseling series, which will be held every Saturday at 11:00 AM.

Professor Hemant Kothari explained the significance of the program in his introductory address. He mentioned that experts and subject specialists from various fields such as pharmacy, engineering, management, commerce, polytechnic diploma, law, fine arts, and fashion design would provide in-depth discussions on various career prospects in the upcoming career counseling sessions. The program was conducted by Dr. Anurag Mehta, and it received insights from Professor K.K. Dave, President of Pacific University, and Professor K.C. Vyas, Dean of the Education Department.
