If I get good content, I have no reservations about playing bold characters." - Neetika Jaiswal.

Neetika Jaiswal, a lively actress known for her powerful performances in numerous TV serials, web series, and films, is now gearing up for the release of her Bhojpuri film "Baap Re Baap." During the film's promotion, Neetika candidly answered some questions, and here are excerpts from her frank responses:

Question: Can you tell us about your place of residence and your family?
Neetika: I am a resident of the spiritual city of Prayagraj. My entire family still lives here. I belong to a large joint family where my parents, siblings, uncles, and aunts all live together.

Question: With such a big family, did they support your decision to pursue acting right from the beginning?
Neetika: No, it was quite challenging in the beginning. Convincing everyone was difficult. But after a decade when everyone saw me becoming a successful actress on television and then in films, they have been supportive.

Question: Where did you receive your education?
Neetika: I completed my education in Prayagraj itself. Since I belong to a joint family, I received support in my studies from home. After completing my graduation from Allahabad University, I started doing small acting assignments in the field of acting, and further studies took a backseat because my inclination shifted towards the film industry.

Question: Whose decision was it to enter the field of acting?
Neetika: It was my own decision. During my school and college days, I started doing small plays and stage shows. After that, I became more passionate about this work, and I even started getting small advertisements in my own city. Then I felt that I should try for films, and that's how I am here today.

Question: What was your first breakthrough in this industry?
Neetika: My first breakthrough in this industry was the television serial "Jai Jai Bajrang Bali." After that, I continuously received work and never had to look back. Apart from prominent serials like "Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah," "Bade Door Se Aaye Hain," I have also worked in episodic shows like "Aahat," "CID," and "Shapath."

Question: Why did you enter Bhojpuri films after working in such big television serials? And what are you doing now?
Neetika: Bhojpuri is our mother tongue, and every actor/actress should work in their mother tongue. After working in Bhojpuri films/albums, the sense of satisfaction is unparalleled. Another reason is that you can achieve more fame by working in films and web series than in television.

Question: How many Bhojpuri films have you worked in so far?
Neetika: I started working in Bhojpuri films around 2014, and my first film was "Shiv Charcha" with Vinay Anand and Pratibha Pandey. After that, I worked in notable films like "Ichhadhari Naag," "Ghatak," "Sakshi Shankar," and "Challenge." The film "Challenge" gave me a lot of recognition. Currently, I am ready for the release of my film "Baap Re Baap."

Question: Have you also worked in web series on digital platforms nowadays? How has your experience been?
Neetika: Yes, recently, I returned from London after shooting for a web series. I shot for a big platform. Apart from that, I have worked in several other web series as well.

Question: In today's trend, bold and exposed content is prevalent. Do you enjoy doing such content?
Neetika: So far, I haven't done such content. But if the content is clean and has a minimum amount of authentic exposure, then I have no reservations about doing it. However, if it involves vulgar or adult content in the name of boldness, then I am not interested. Nowadays, many good works are happening even without explicit exposure.
