Speculations of Sachin Pilot leaving Congress and forming a new party were proven to be mere rumours.

Speculations of Sachin Pilot leaving Congress and forming a new party were proven to be mere rumours. However, tensions and differences between Pilot and Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot are far from resolved.

Sachin Pilot, the former Deputy Chief Minister of Rajasthan, remains adamant in his demands and is unsatisfied with Chief Minister Gehlot's explanations. Despite reconciliation talks between Pilot, Congress National President Mallikarjun Kharge, and former President Rahul Gandhi, it is evident that the cracks in their relationship are yet to be fully mended.

Pilot had previously staged a one-day fast and a large rally to demonstrate his strength and exert pressure on the Gehlot government. He had set a deadline for the fulfillment of his demands, but they were not met. Although he did not make any significant announcements on June 11, the anniversary of his late father's death, Pilot did not refrain from using sarcasm to criticize his opponents, including Gehlot.

The ongoing tensions between Pilot and Gehlot raise concerns about the impact on the Congress party in the upcoming assembly elections scheduled for November-December this year. Despite Rahul Gandhi's attempts to reconcile both leaders, it is becoming increasingly challenging to bridge their differences. Reports suggest that the Congress high command might appoint Pilot as the chairman of the election coordination committee, aiming to capitalize on his popularity among the youth while leveraging Gehlot's successful schemes.

As of now, Gehlot maintains the majority support of MLAs, making it unlikely for him to be replaced before the assembly elections, as seen in Punjab. However, the attendance of only a few ministers and MLAs, including both Gehlot and Pilot supporters, at Pilot's recent program indicates the persisting division within the party.

Gehlot's supporters argue that he had provided protection and support to Pilot after the untimely demise of his father, Rajesh Pilot, who had closely associated with Gehlot since the era of Prime Minister Indira Gandhi and Rajiv Gandhi. However, Gehlot believes every mistake has consequences, and Pilot's rebellious attitude and actions against the party have led to his prolonged exclusion from key positions within the state.

During a program commemorating his father's death anniversary, Pilot took the opportunity to respond to Gehlot's dismissal of his demand for compensation in the paper leak case as an intellectual bankruptcy. Pilot emphasized the importance of sincerely helping the poor and youth, highlighting the need for a compassionate approach.

Pilot also spoke about his opposition to the previous Vasundhara Raje government and the necessity of investigating its alleged scams. Without directly naming Gehlot, he stated that every mistake must be punished, indirectly criticizing his opponents.

Pilot further stressed the significance of justice, regardless of the nature of relationships, and expressed his commitment to fighting for the people's rights. He acknowledged that his father, Rajesh Pilot, who hailed from a humble farmer's family but achieved great heights while maintaining his integrity, had taught him the importance of staying true to one's beliefs.

He reiterated his determination to uphold his voice and the public's trust, emphasizing that credibility is the most valuable asset in politics. Pilot asserted that he has always worked to improve the future of the youth, and the unwavering support he receives from the people of Dausa, his father's region of influence, strengthens his resolve.

Pilot prevented a talkative minister from giving a speech to avoid controversies during the meeting, citing the need to leave early for his native village. The event was attended by a few ministers and MLAs, including some prominent supporters of Pilot and leaders from various Congress positions.

Political observers closely monitoring the situation believe that unless Rahul Gandhi intervenes promptly upon his return, coordinating between Gehlot and Pilot, the achievements of the Gehlot government over the past four and a half years will be.
