Committed to the upliftment, promotion, encouragement, and honor of resident and migrant litterateurs of Rajasthan province, the Rajasthan Sahitya Akademi, an autonomous body of the Government of Rajasthan, on Friday, after the meeting of the Board of Directors under the chairmanship of Academy President Dr. Dularam Saharan, has decided for the year 2022- 23rd annual awards announced. Giving information, Academy Secretary Dr. Basant Singh Solanki said that the Meera Award for the year 2022-23 would be given to Jaipur native and Thiruvananthapuram-Kerala resident Rati Saxena for the poetry book 'Hansi Ek Prarthana.' Notably, this is the highest award of the Academy, with seventy-five thousand rupees.
In a press conference, Academy President Dularam Saharan said that the Janardan Rai Nagar Samman of one lakh rupees, courtesy of the Rajasthan government, will be given to Ajmer resident Dr. Chandra Prakash Deval for the year 2022-23. This honor was decided in the meeting of the honor committee held in Jaipur last days and approved in the directorate on Friday. According to Secretary Solanki, the first published work Sumnesh Joshi Award with twenty-one thousand rupees will be given to Udaipur resident story writer Tarana Parveen for the story collection 'Ek Sau Aath.'
