On the occasion of World Human Spirit Day, the College of Community and Applied Sciences organizing a two days International Webinar on Health and Spiritual Intelligence for Professional Excellence on 17th and 18th February, 2022.
In his inaugural address, Chief Guest and Patron of the program, Hon'ble Vice Chancellor Dr. Narendra Singh Rathod explained that we ourselves are biological souls and we decide our own needs. Also, we do not need to do any hard exercises or chapters to understand it. He further explained that education can be treated in four angles i.e., physical education, intelligence education, emotional education and spiritual education. It’s a general notion that 80 per nutritional food and 20 per cent exercise leads to a good health but Dr. Rathore emphasized that good health consists of 40 per cent nutrition, 20 per cent leisure time, 20 per cent exercise and 20per cent rest. If you are not healthy you will loose your mental strength.
Dr. Meenu Srivastava, Dean and program convener said in her welcome address that on this day, we should also be encouraged to renew our lifestyle by following healthy and nutritious food patterns and connecting it with the spiritual well-being. She concluded her remark with stating that every human being has the right to enjoy stress free healthy life.
Co-Organizing Secretary Dr. Suman Singh, Professor Emeritus, introduced the speaker of the programme and clarified that most of the diseases happen because of an unhealthy diet and lifestyle. Unfortunately, most people when diagnosed with such conditions are told that this is now their destiny. Once they know that diseases can be reversed, half the battle is won. They have a choice which they never knew existed and that is the beginning of change.
Mr. Lalit Kapoor, diet and life style coach, California, USA; the eminent speaker of the program confirmed in his addressal that most of the diseases like diabetes, heart disease, autoimmune disorders, cancer are not genetic. These diseases are caused due to unhealthy diet and lifestyle. These diseases should never exist and if they are present, they can often be replaced by a whole foods, plant-based diet. Encouraging a healthy diet in people promotes the prevention and reversal of chronic diseases such as CVD, diabetes, cancer and obesity. We have the power to prevent about 80% of chronic diseases through simple lifestyle habits and nutrition tops the list among them. Before the end of the program, the question-answer session among all the participants in the program was effectively conducted and compered by Ms. Anjali Juyal.
Dr. Dhriti Solanki, professor and coordinator concluded the session and proposed vote of thanks to the dignitaries, eminent speakers and the organizing team, in which Dr. Hemu Rathore, Organizing Secretary and Dr. Sarla Lakhawat, coordinator made an significant contribution.
