Enjoy Live Darshan of Rath Yatra

Ahmedabad, The annual Rath Yatra festival in Ahmedabad is one of the state’s most anticipated cultural and religious events that invokes public participation running into lakhs. This year, Gujarat’s preferred telecom network, Vodafone India, is leveraging its Vodafone SuperNetTM 4G network and superior technology expertise to facilitate a personalised and close-up feel of the Rath Yatra for the residents of Gujarat.

Vodafone stores at Shivranjani and Stadium in Ahmedabad will have special Rath Yatra zones created within the store premises. Vodafone customers desiring to enjoy the 360° Live Virtual Reality experience of the Rath Yatra will be given VR headsets or mobile devices through which they can view the proceedings.


The number of devotees thronging the sanctum sanctorum of the temple to get a glimpse of Lord Jagannath, reaches an unmanageable level, as the Yatra reaches the end of its 14 km journey. As a caring initiative for young children, elderly devotees and the specially abled, Vodafone is setting up a Video Experience Zone near the main entrance of the Jagannath Temple, that will give an Audio Visual effect of being within the sanctum in the presence of the Lord. A large LED screen placed adjacent to the Video Experience Zone will also broadcast the 360° video, which visitors can rewind or forward as per their wish.

We appeal to all citizens to please take care of young children, elderly and specially abled family members amidst the large congregation of people. For their benefit, Vodafone’s Video Experience Zone and LED screen near the temple entrance will provide a Live Audio Visual darshan of Lord Jagannath giving a feel of being physically present within the sanctum sanctorum.
