District Collector Urges Support for Skilled Youth in Self-Employment and Higher Training

Udaipur:  District Collector Arvind Kumar Poswal has emphasized the importance of connecting skilled youth with self-employment opportunities and providing assistance for higher training through the R-seti scheme.

Arvind Kumar Poswal chaired the second quarterly review meeting of the District-level R-seti Advisory Committee held at the Collectorate Auditorium on Wednesday. He stated that through the R-setiprogram, if a skilled young individual shows interest in higher training in any trade, they should be provided with proper guidance. Additionally, efforts should be made to facilitate their training through coordination with other agencies. The Collector stressed that the objective of R-seti is not only to provide training but also to make youth self-reliant.

He further instructed officials to explore possibilities for training programs in various fields, including employment-intensive marble processing, cutting, and other local employment opportunities in the Udaipur region. The Collector also gave directions for connecting a prominent institute in the urban area with the solar light plan. 

During the meeting, officials from the Industry Department and Anuja Nigam provided information about departmental loan schemes. Amar Dixit, Regional Head of the ICICI Bank, informed the gathering about training programs organized by the institute. So far, R-seti has trained 726 youth in 29 different trades, including beauty parlor management, mobile phone repairing and servicing, custom jewelry entrepreneurship, dairy farming, and vermi-compost making, among others. Of these, 386 participants were women. They also shared information about various projects, such as solar light projects, soil and water conservation, and paper bag and envelope making, implemented by the institute. 

The meeting was attended by Vinod Kast, Regional Head of ICICI Bank, Rajesh Jain, District Lead Bank Manager, Prabhul Bhatnagar, Chief of the Bagdawada Farmers' Development Center, Khyalilal, Rural Officer Department, Sanjay Joshi, Deputy Director of the Women and Child Department, Shalu Lodha, Senior Administrative Officer of IIM Udaipur, Narayan Pipada, SLPC Container, Girish Bhatnagar, Project Manager of Anuja Nigam, Chokharam of the District Industry Center, Bhimaram Patel from R-seti , Alpita Rathore, Lokesh Mehra, and others.
