Udaipur Development Authority Holds General Body Meeting

 

Udaipur, June 21 — The General Body Meeting of the Udaipur Development Authority (UDA) was held on Friday at the UDA auditorium under the chairmanship of Divisional Commissioner Ms. Pragya Kevalramani, with District Collector Namit Mehta in attendance.

At the outset, UDA Commissioner Rahul Jain presented the minutes of the previous meeting. This was followed by discussions on various agenda points. The meeting addressed the project plan for constructing an elevated road from Debari Circle to Pratapnagar Circle and the re-engineering of Balicha Junction, as proposed by the concerned agencies.

A major highlight was the proposal to develop Ramgiri Hills and Bargaon as an “Oxygen Hub” and tourist attraction. Detailed deliberations were also held on the implementation of the newly issued Rajasthan Building Regulations 2025 within the UDA jurisdiction and its official notification in the Rajasthan Gazette.

Further, the meeting discussed creating green buffer zones around key water bodies such as Lakhawali, Chhota Madar, Bada Madar, Badi Lake, Bhatewar Talab, Alsigarh, Nandeshwar, and Vallabhnagar, as well as other lakes and reservoirs around Udaipur city, for conservation purposes.

Other key points included formulating development plans on UDA-owned lands in line with the Master Plan and Zonal Development Plan, and reorganizing the UDA area following the inclusion of newly designated revenue villages.

The meeting was also attended by UDA Secretary Hemendra Nagar, Special Officer Jitendra Ojha, Additional Chief Engineer Sanjeev Sharma, PWD Additional Chief Engineer Ashok Kumar Sharma, and several other officials.
