Students Paid Tribute to Martyrs at Witty International School

Udaipur,  On Wednesday, Kargil Vijay Diwas was solemnly observed at Witty International School in Sukher. The event was graced by the esteemed presence of retired Captain Mahavir Singh Puniya from the Indian Army. Captain Puniya, during his 32-year service, served in challenging positions, including Siachen Glacier, Kargil, and other critical areas in the Northeast.

As the Kargil conflict began in 1999, Captain Puniya was already stationed near Kargil, making him an integral part of the Kargil operations. His expertise in interpreting enemy's covert messages and providing precise and timely communication to the Indian infantry forces proved vital during the warfare. In recognition of his exceptional service, Captain Puniya was awarded various honors and accolades upon his retirement, including the prestigious Captain rank.

Under the gracious presence of School Principal Preethi Sogani, Deepen Sogani, Principal Bijo Kurian, and C.A.I.I. Headmistress Deepa Chakravarti, the ceremony commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp and the chanting of the 'Namo Kar Mantra.' The students of Witty International School showcased their patriotism through performances of patriotic songs, dance, and informative presentations.

In a heartwarming tribute, the students created a map of India and lit candles to honor the brave soldiers who sacrificed their lives during the Kargil war. The event instilled a sense of national pride and reverence for the martyrs in the entire school precinct.

Addressing the students, Captain Puniya expressed his gratitude and bestowed his blessings upon them. He reminded everyone to cherish the memory of the Kargil war heroes and to stay vigilant and dedicated to the security of the nation, just like our brave soldiers.

The Kargil Vijay Diwas celebration at Witty International School left a lasting impression on the young minds, instilling in them a deep sense of respect for the sacrifices made by our soldiers in safeguarding the sovereignty of the nation.
