Mumbai – A grand celebration of World Music Day was held today at Mumbai's Funkar Studio by Taal Music & Films. The event featured a special panel discussion on the thought-provoking topic: “Is the Music Industry Threatened by AI?”
Renowned composer Dilip Sen expressed that there is no threat from AI to the music world, stating, “Songs created by AI cannot touch our soul or ears. Music is eternal like the Gita, Quran, Bible, and Guru Granth Sahib – it cannot be altered.”
Singer-composer Satish Dehra echoed this sentiment, adding, “Music is the play of notes – something AI cannot comprehend.”
On the other hand, singer-composer Arvinder Singh acknowledged that AI can be useful in some aspects but clarified that it poses no threat to the core of the music industry.
Following the discussion, a celebratory cake-cutting ceremony was held.
On this occasion, Neetu Singh launched Harmony Heaven – a group of passionate singers – and made a grand announcement of their first mega event, Ghazal King & Queen, a national-level singing contest. She shared that auditions would begin soon, and only a ₹99 registration fee is required. The top 20 participants will be selected for the finale scheduled for September.
