Kota : Time Bank is a new concept in which inspite of money,time Diposite for the service of older age people as and when they required. The time of service one give will Diposite in his account at the time when required him. This marvelous concept is followed by"Time Bank of India Trust"
As chief member of Trust P. C. Jain told It was felt that that Time Bank is the need of the society and is the right time to start before the India is called the country of elder population. Traditionally, Indian society has believed in system of joint family which offers so many advantages like safety, security, care, belongingness etc to the family members. However in the era of present globalization, there is a major shift from joint family to nuclear family system.
He told me Younger generation is moving away to earn their livelihood leaving behind the elderly members of the family alone without any support. It is also observed that in the joint family also, elders feel lonely as the young generations are too busy with their day to day activities and are unable to spend some time with seniors.
Pendamic Covid-19 taught us many lesions. One of them is fear and depression while living alone. During initial period of Covid-19, patients were kept in complete isolation at hospitals. Even many healthy persons stuck up in isolation away from family during complete lockdown. Many of them were under deep depression despite availability of connectivity with family through mobiles. Some even committed suicide.
He told On search from net, we could not find any organised Time Bank in our country though little effort are seen in unorganised sector where some small groups of people found helping each other.
We then attended meetings of senior citizens and retired persons, explain Time Bank concept and sought their view, discussed probable bottlenecks, security aspects etc with them. The idea was well received which motivated us to start it.
Ultimately, as a first step we have registered the domain name for website and created our Email id on 7 July 2018. The next six months spent in its modalities, website designing, finding like minded person, making a Trust and other formalities etc. Finally, on 27 December 2018, the Time Bank in the name of Time Bank of India Trust born with the notarization of trust deed. Immediately an application moved for its registration under Trust Act. The trust was also got registered on 25 April 2019.
Trust thankfully acknowledge motivation of Mrs. Bhavna Jagwani, convenor of the Mohan Foundation Jaipur Citizen Forum, and Mr. Thakurdas Bhaisahab for his timely help. About 450 members are under this roof.
