Umang’22 the Annual Sports Meet at Sir Padampat Singhania University

Umang’22 - the Annual Sports Meet of Sir Padampat Singhania University, Udaipur(SPSU) was heldon September 29th2022.Colonel Sanjay Sinha, Head - Education Vertical, JK Cement Ltd., Dr. Sanjay Mishra Registrar, SPSU along with the Deans and Faculty Membersignited the ceremonial sports torch.Colonel Sinhafervently declared the opening of the event and encouraged the players to keep up the sportsman spirit. A good number of students from various institutes in and around the city participated in the event and displayed their exemplary talent in the sports events like Athletics, Badminton, Basketball, Cricket, Football, Table-Tennis, Volleyball& Chess. Students from different schools including Vivekananda KendriyaVidhalaya, Rishebdev visited, participated and witnessed the event. A great amount of precision, intellect and vigor was seen in all of the games.

In the prize distribution ceremonyProf. (Dr.) Padmakali Banerjee, The Honourable Vice Chancellor and President, SPSU paid a tribute to the founder ChancellorLate ShriYadupati Singhania on his birth anniversary. She institutedand declared‘The Seventh Sense: Spirit of Optimism Award’ for outstanding athletic achievement and event planning. KanettiSai Krishna, B.Tech, CSE, IV year was the honoree. Colonel Sinha too announced a cash prize for him. Prof. (Dr.) Padmakali Banerjeecommended the efforts of the students and applauded their sportsmanship, team spirit, harmony, skill and brilliance in putting up a great show. AadhyaGajjar, B.tech II year, Kartik Jain MBA I year, Ganga Dhakad, BBA II year, P. TharunB.tech II year, RaginiGoyal, MBA I year, Deepak JhaB.Tech II year and many otherswere awarded with medals and trophies in the ceremony. The students enchanted the audience with the wonderful cultural performances as well.Prof. Deepak Vyas, Proctor of the University presented the events summary and Dr. Manish Dadhichproposed the vote of thanks. The thrill, excitement, and the pleasure of winning were most memorable moments of the event.
