Amitabh Assumes Office as General Manager of Northwestern Railway

 Mr. Amitabh has taken charge as the General Manager of the Northwestern Railways. Prior to this, Mr. Amitabh served as the Chief Mechanical Engineer in Northwestern Railways.

Mr. Amitabh is a senior officer of the "Indian Railways Mechanical Engineering Service" from the batch of 1987. Throughout his distinguished career, he has successfully fulfilled his responsibilities in various crucial positions within the Indian Railways. Mr. Amitabh has held key positions, including Chief Mechanical Engineer at Northwestern Railways, Mandal Railway Manager in Prayagraj-North Central Railways, Additional Divisional Railway Manager in Delhi, Chief Mechanical Engineer (Planning and Rolling Stock) in Northwestern Railways, and Director at the Railway Board.

Mr. Amitabh was honored with the recognition for his excellent management and coordination of railway projects and activities during the Kumbh Mela 2019 while serving as the Mandal Railway Manager in Prayagraj. He was appreciated for his strong leadership and efficient work not only by the Honorable Prime Minister but also by the Honorable Minister of Railways.
