Udaipur,The Annual General Meeting of the Thakur Amar Chand Badwa Memorial Institution was held at the Somani Auditorium of Shramjeevi College in Udaipur. The event was graced by Chief Patron Prof. Colonel S.S. Sarangdevot as the chief guest, with Adv. Rao Ratan Singh, Laxman Singh Karnawat, Harish Talreja, and 95-year-old Jeevan Lata Badwa as special guests.
Organization Secretary Jai Kishan Chaube welcomed all dignitaries and presented the annual report. During the proceedings, General Secretary Dr. Rajendra Nath Purohit proposed to appoint Acting President Prof. Vimal Sharma as the full-time President, which was seconded by Vice President Dr. J.K. Ojha and approved by the house with applause. Prof. Sarangdevot formally invited the newly appointed President to the stage with honor.
In his address, Prof. Vimal Sharma expressed gratitude to the house and assured that he would fulfill the responsibility with utmost dedication. Outlining his priorities, he mentioned that the UDA (Urban Development Authority) is actively working to resolve the issues obstructing development at the approved Badwa Chowraha near Ashoka Palace, and he would maintain regular follow-ups on the matter. He also informed that the installation of a historic cannon at Top Mata Burj is scheduled in the coming months.
Exercising his presidential authority, Dr. Sharma proposed Dr. Ramakant Sharma as the new Secretary, which was supported by Jai Kishan Chaube and approved by the house.
As part of the organizational expansion, Dr. Pramod Sanadhya was appointed in charge of Nathdwara and Love Purohit for Mavli. Furthermore, a Research Committee was formed for the five academic seminars scheduled throughout the year. The committee will include Dr. J.K. Ojha, Dr. Rajendra Nath Purohit, Dr. Kulshhekhar Vyas, Dr. Manish Shrimali, Dr. Hemendra Choudhary, Dr. Manoj Dadhich, and Dinesh Kothari (RAS).
The vacant Vice President position, left due to the demise of Dr. Girish Nath Mathur, will be filled during the upcoming Badwa Jayanti program.
Out of the 45 executive members, 38 were present, and a total of 62 members participated in the general assembly. The event concluded with the National Anthem.
