Heavy Penalty for Renting Vehicles Without License

Udaipur, The Transport Department has taken strict action against four city-based rental operators who were found renting out two-wheelers to tourists without valid licenses.

Regional Transport Officer Gyandev Vishwakarma informed that under the leadership of District Transport Officer Nitin Bohra, transport inspectors conducted checks at the business premises of operators renting two-wheelers to tourists. During the inspection, four business operators were found violating norms and challans were issued for four vehicles operating without proper permits.

DTO Nitin Bohra stated that operators of Shyam Travels, Ganesh Bike on Rent, S.S. Travels, and Kanishka Bike on Rent have been directed to immediately cease operations and obtain valid licenses before continuing their rental services.

He further added that flying squads deployed across the city have been instructed to take strict action against all unlicensed and unpermitted operations, and that any vehicle found in violation will be immediately seized and legal proceedings under the Motor Vehicles Act will be initiated against the offenders.
