#### Yoga must reach the underprivileged and remote communities – Bhanwarlal Gurjar

Udaipur, A one-day National Seminar on ‘Yoga for One Earth, One Health’ was organized jointly by Janardan Rai Nagar Rajasthan Vidyapeeth University and Bhopal Nobles University at the B.Ed College auditorium with the objective of spreading the awareness of yoga to the masses and establishing the ideal of “One Earth, One Health.”

University Chancellor Bhanwarlal Gurjar, presiding over the seminar, emphasized the need to extend yoga beyond privileged circles to marginalized and remote communities. “Yoga should become a daily discipline for all,” he stated, urging for its widespread adoption.

The seminar was inaugurated with the lighting of the lamp and floral tribute to Maa Saraswati by Vice Chancellor Prof. Shiv Singh Sarangdevot, Chancellor Bhanwarlal Gurjar, BN Institute Secretary Dr. Mahendra Singh Agaria, Managing Director Dr. Mohabbat Singh Rupakhedi, Mahant Bhuwaneshwari Puri, Finance Minister Shakti Singh Karohi, Joint Secretary Rajendra Singh Tana, Principal Prof. Saroj Garg, and Dr. Bhupendra Singh Chauhan.

Seminar Convenor Dr. Rohit Kumawat informed that more than 180 participants joined offline and 250 joined online. A captivating yoga presentation was given by Ranjana Rana, who showcased various postures on rhythmic music.

Addressing the gathering, Prof. Shiv Singh Sarangdevot called yoga a spiritual discipline that awakens the soul, mind, and consciousness, and not merely a physical practice. Quoting dialogues from the Ramayana and Bhagavad Gita, he stated that yoga elevates individuals beyond worldly attachments towards discipline, balance, and spiritual progress. He described yoga as a harmonizing force between the five elements – Earth, Water, Fire, Air, and Space – and a means to balance social, environmental, and professional relationships.

Chief speaker Mahant Bhuwaneshwari Puri stressed that yoga is not just a method of physical and mental purification, but a path to spiritual elevation and character building. She advocated a balanced diet, routine, and regular practice, cautioning against the quick but often harmful effects of modern exercise trends.

Dr. Mahendra Singh Agaria, Secretary of BN Institution, highlighted yoga as a source of awakened wisdom and self-reflection. He said yoga teaches one to witness life as it is and refine thoughts born from cultural values. Referring to Ravana, he remarked that even the most learned can fall without wise judgment.

Earlier, Dr. Bhupendra Singh Chauhan welcomed the guests and introduced the theme of the seminar.

The session was moderated by Dr. Harish Chaubisa and concluded with a vote of thanks by Principal Dr. Saroj Garg.

Notable attendees included Dr. Saroj Garg, Dr. Rachna Rathore, Dr. Yuvaraj Singh Bemla, Dr. Bhawanipal Singh Rathore, Dr. Amiya Goswami, Ami Rathore, Dr. Rohit Kumawat, Dr. Hiteshchand Rawal, Dr. Mamta Kumawat, Dr. Subhash Purohit, Dr. Shantilal, Dr. Anita Rajput, Dr. Preeti Kachhawa, Dr. Manish Paliwal, along with Deans and Directors of Vidyapeeth.
