Udaipur when Mahatma Gandhi was awakening to freedom, at that time, Pandit Janardan rai Nagar was engaged in burning the flame of education in remote tribal areas of Mewar. The establishment of the University is the result of thinking of removing their ignorance. These words were spoken by the Chancellor H.C parikh at concluding summit held on the 106th birth anniversary of Manishi Pandit Janardhnari Nagar, founder of Janardanarai Nagar Vidyapeeth University,
Parikh said that Pandit Nagar had established Rajasthan University only for literacy, better education and value perception. They considered education as essential for democracy.
Vice Chancellor Prof. SS Sarangdevot said that the mission of Pandit Nagar was to prepare a literate and enlightened citizen, but the real objective is to enhance the human being from all aspects. Kul Pramukh Bhanwarlal Gurjar said that Janubhai was not less than any award in his own right. He started the organization as a nightly literacy center. He promoted education in rural areas for people of the exploited, lower class and the poorer sections.
